OK, after some thought, I decided to do something different.
You may recall that I created the book “Forever Home” (preview below) to try to generate some donations for animal rescues and shelters. Today, I decided to take a slightly different approach.
Starting today, I will select a rescue from personal experience or from suggestions, and for two days, all profits from the sale of the book will go to that organization. For example, any sales between now and Sunday night June 19th at 11:59 pm will go to Coastal German Shepard Rescue in Orange County, CA. That’s $5 per book sold.
I don’t make any money on these books. That’s not the point. In fact, if a rescue or shelter would like me to produce a book specifically for them, I’d be more than happy to do so at no charge, and all profits from that book would go to them. I’ll go down, take pics of the pups/kittens/chinchillas, etc., as well as some of the folks that help out, and tell some of the stories we find there. So if you know of a group that could use a fundraising piece that also tell their story, tell them where to find me.
So – until 11:59p on Sunday, 6/19/11, all the profits from the sale of “Forever Home” will go to Coastal German Shepard Rescue… Help ‘em out, buy a book, and tell a friend!
