28 Kids

If you have a few minutes, I’d like to share with you a video put together by my friends at Create and Capture Photography. It’s in two parts, and you can view both of them below.

At the end of Part 2, you’ll see pictures of 28 kids. You’ll also see pictures of 28 headstones marking where those kids have been laid to rest. All 28 kids have died this year in alcohol related deaths.

The Rich Get Richer, The Rest Of Us Pay For It.

via rollingstone.com But if you want to get a true sense of what the “shadow budget” is all about, all you have to do is look closely at the taxpayer money handed over to a single company that goes by a seemingly innocuous name: Waterfall TALF Opportunity. At first glance, Waterfall’s haul doesn’t seem all [...]

Forever Home – The Book

On our 4/19/11 show, we talked a lot about pet adoptions and announced the release of “Forever Home”, Leo’s new book to raise funds for shelters and rescues. As promised here’s the info:

“Forever Home” is a collection of photographs taken at America’s Family Pet Expo, along with some thoughts on pet adoption. For every book sold, $5 will go to animal shelters and rescues. Every little bit helps these great organizations, and we think it’s a great coffee table book (but we’re a little biased…)
